Virginia suffered massive record loss during the colonial period; however, efforts by numerous individuals and institutions have located copies of some and substitutes for others, many of which are now available online. Barbara Vines Little, CG^®, editor of the Magazine of Virginia Genealogy, will explore these "recovered" records as well as those that survive.
